 Welcome to Minter Bridge Elementary

At Minter Bridge School we strive to provide children with relevant learning experiences that include the social, academic, emotional, and physical skills necessary to realize individual potential in preparing to be successful and lifelong learners.

Our Writing Festival on January 28th was a great success.  Over 350 students and family members joined us to learn about our approach to teaching writing and to also write together.  Thank you to the PTA for providing pizza for the event.

On Tuesday, February 9th, we have a PTA meeting at 6:30 pm.  Childcare provided- please come!

February 18th we have Family Math Night.  More info to come.

We have an exciting project in the works.  We are teaming with the Hillsboro Garden Club and are working to rip out the asphalt outside the kinder area and replace it with a beautiful garden in time for our 30th anniversary in May.  We need to network.  We are in need of someone with the ability to install sprinklers, good soil and of course muscle.  If you are interested in supporting us, contact Mike Serritella at school or link to his email on the staff pages.  A BIG thank you to Home Depot, teacher, parent and student volunteers and Americorps members across Washington County who helped us rip out our asphalt to prepare for the garden on Feb. 6th.  Home Depot brought the necessary tools, and knowledge, to help us get our project rolling.  Also thank you to Hillsboro Waste Management who helped remove and recycle the asphalt.

SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) is a fabulous program at Minter Bridge that supports the love of reading.  If you love reading with students, even an hour a week, and would like to get involved, contact Nancy Ito at the school or visit the SMART webpage.
