Wanted: PTO President and Board for 2016-2017 school year
Spring is here and with it comes PTO Board elections in May. Positions needed- Secretary, Co-Volunteer coordinator(s) and President. Please consider this rewarding community experience. We need a full PTO Board to help continue the fun programs and support here at Tobias: Scholastic News in classrooms, Field trip Buses, Classroom Support checks for added classroom items and projects, Literacy support by way of Mrs. Carstens, Tiger Trek, Retro Dance, Family Movie Night, and Afterschool club support just to name a few. Without a full PTO Board these things do not happen. All positions come with “training” and full support of past Board members. I am happy to discuss details/Board positions anytime. Contact me at cornieme117@gmail.com

We hope to see YOU at the April 21st and May 19th PTO meetings.

Thank You - Kim Cornie

Tobias Running ClubStudents participating in running club: please remember to bring appropriate shoes and water bottles each time. It’s hard to run when you’re thirsty and wearing boots or sandals!

Battle of the Books 2016
We are asking for help gathering some additional copies of the BOB books for this year. Here is a list of all the books and bold/underlined are the titles we need more copies of, but any copies would be helpful. We can also just borrow your copy as well, you can put your name in them and Mrs. Constantine will make sure you get them back after BOB. BOB is for the 4-6th grades only. We will have a reading opportunity for the k-3rd grades sometime after spring break.

Do you have an old camera tripod lying around?
Mr. Sayre needs it! What kind you ask? He needs the kind that you raise and lower and can attach a camera to. He is going to convert them into iPad stands for videoing and stop motion. If you have any, he would greatly appreciate the donation. You can bring them to the office or drop them by his room.

A reminder for Tobias student and parent safety- uring pick-up and drop-off times, we need parents to stay behind the yellow line in the bus area. Buses are having a hard time making the turn because parents are encroaching over the line which makes the bus drivers unable to safely maneuver.

Background checks
Friendly reminder: Background checks must be renewed every two years. Background checks are required to participate in volunteering, Spirit Assemblies, field trips and any event during schools hours. You can renew or complete yours now! Link to HSD - https://volunteerapplication.hsd.k12.or.us/

Reminder for parents
When dropping off students, please use the vehicle drop off loop. Students should not be dropped off in front of the school, in between traffic, or where the buses pull in. The school does have signs indicating where/not to drop off. Let's all be courteous, respectful, safe and set a good example.
