Dear Parents:

I am very excited to be joining the Farmington View Community and am looking forward to a dynamic and extraordinary school year.  As partners, we will continue Farmington View’s history of academic excellence by supporting our current outstanding educational programs.  We will also continue to seek new opportunities to provide each child the finest educational experience in a safe and caring school environment.

It is our hope that our school and district website, hsd.k12.or.us, along with the Elementary Parent/Student Handbook, will give you good sources of current information. If you have any questions, please call the elementary school at (503) 844-1735.

Parents are always welcome at Farmington View Elementary. We encourage you to come in, volunteer and become actively involved in the education of your children. We invite you to join the Bobcat Boosters, a parent support group that provides many enrichment opportunities for our students. The Boosters coordinate our volunteer program and provide extra help for our students and teachers. There are many other ways to become involved in our school, as well. It takes all of us, working together, to help our children learn and succeed.  To become a Farmington View Volunteer, please fill out the application form at www.hsd.k12.or.us.

Forming a positive working relationship with parents benefits our students. We want parents to be well informed about the academic and social progress of their children. Besides attending scheduled conferences and reviewing progress reports, we invite you to meet and communicate regularly with our school staff. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress, please feel free to contact your child’s classroom teacher.
