Henry's after school program, Prime Time, enjoy a choice of activities on Thursday to celebrate the hard work they put in during the rest of the week. Last Thursday, they were able to choose between a canoe engineering project, geometric art lesson, and soccer.

"Thursday Fun has been a key to the academic success of our students in the after school program", said Heather Harris, program coordinator. "Having an educational, but fun activity to look forward to keeps the students motivated during their math and reading lessons."

| Future Field Guides - Friday, March 11, 2011
During the last few weeks, Henry 4th,5th, and 6th graders were visited by artists from Jackson Bottom as part of a grant-funded project that has students work towards the creation of a wetland field guide. Their job this time was to create an illustration of a wetland animal or plant cell for their journals. Eventually, these older students will be guiding younger Henry students through our backyard wetland habitat, Turner Creek.

This week, students were offered enrichment activities including a flight engineering lesson from a visiting Intel engineer, origami, computer time to prepare a presentation for a TAG book club, a pudding party, and soccer. The only problem was choosing which activity to attend!
