Choosing a Focused Program of Study (FPS) is an important way to help clarify goals, provide purpose and relevance to your elective course selection, and prepare you to succeed in post-secondary education and/or in the workplace. By selecting a Focused Program, you strengthen the opportunity to gain the qualities and skills that are vital for employment and productivity in business, industry and the community. If you would like help in choosing a career interest area, counselors, advisors, administrators, and the School-to-Work coordinator are available to help. The following chart will help you discern the six Focused Program areas and the endorsement programs offered at Hillsboro High School. With each endorsement area, the capstone course is indicated. Students complete the Senior Portfolio requirement in a capstone course, the culminating course of a FPS.
