Picture day retake day is November 1st. Students need to have their purchased packets with them to get their photo retaken.
If you are interested in getting a quick reminder when an important event or message needs to go out, you can click this link to sign up Remind sign up . You can also get push notifications through out Hillsboro School District App if you choose North Plains as your home school.
As you know, we are really focused on attendance this year! Our district motto is "9 or less is best!" meaning students need to strive to be absent one day or less per month. We've begun a school competition, and Ms. Underhill's class is the winner for the month of September! Her class averaged 98.6% attendance for the month. See the bulletin board in the main hall so see all of the results. The class with the highest percentage for the month will receive a popcorn party!
Are you a Veteran? Do you know a Veteran? We will be having a Veteran's Day assembly on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 1:15 PM to honor our military past and present. We would love to honor local people and family of our students, so please let me know if there is someone I should reach out to! You are welcome to attend as well.
Harvest Party!! We will be celebrating fall with a Harvest Party on Friday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 - 7PM. This is still in the planning stage, but there will be food, games, and fun for the entire family! Be sure to put this on your calendar.
As you can see, we have a lot of great activities and excitement here at North Plains Elementary. We are off to a fabulous start and I know it will just continue to get even better!
